PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA POP UP BOOK SEBAGAI EDUKASI MITIGASI BENCANA BAGI SISWA SEKOLAH DASAR
Abstract
ABSTRAK: Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi potensi ancaman dan kerentanan bencana di Indonesia tergolong tinggi sementara kemampuan mitigasi bencana masih rendah. Selain itu, pengurangan risiko bencana belum menjadi program prioritas di sekolah, belum semua sekolah di Indonesia memasukkan pendidikan mitigasi bencana dalam kurikulum, pengembangan media edukasi mitigasi bencana masih minim, kurang variatif sehingga perlu dikembangkan sebuah inovasi edukasi mitigasi bencana yang sesuai dengan karakteristik siswa sekolah dasar (SD). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mengembangkan media pop up book sebagai edukasi mitigasi bencana bagi siswa SD. (2) mengetahui kelayakan media pop up book sebagai edukasi mitigasi bencana bagi siswa SD dari aspek materi dan aspek media, dan respon siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan menggunakan model 4D (define, design, develop, disseminate) yang dimodifikasi menjadi 3D (define, design, develop). Subjek penelitian terdiri atas satu orang ahli materi (ahli kebencanaan), satu orang ahli media, uji coba terbatas media pop up book pada siswa SD. Instrumen pengumpulan data berupa lembar validasi untuk ahli materi dan media, angket untuk siswa SD. Selanjutnya data yang diperoleh diolah dan dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif sebagai bahan untuk revisi produk agar layak digunakan. Hasil penelitian penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) media pop up book dikembangkan melalui tahap: define, design, develop (2) hasil penilaian ahli materi terhadap pop up book memperoleh rerata 4,67 dengan kategori Sangat Baik, penilaian dari ahli media memperoleh rerata 4,80 dengan kategori Sangat Baik, sedangkan hasil uji coba terbatas pada siswa SD mendapat rerata 4,70 dengan kategori Sangat Baik. Berdasarkan hasil penilaian ahli materi dan media menunjukkan bahwa pop up book yang dikembangkan layak digunakan sebagai media edukasi bencana bagi siswa Sekolah Dasar selanjutnya dapat diseminasikan secara luas. Media Pop Up Book yang dikembangkan dapat menjadi langkah awal untuk membangun pondasi kesadaran bencana yang lebih baik dalam usaha pengurangan risiko bencana melalui jalur pendidikan

ABSTRACT: This research is motivated by the potential threat and vulnerability of disasters in Indonesia is relatively high while the ability of disaster mitigation is still low. In addition, disaster risk reduction has not become a priority program in schools, not all schools in Indonesia include disaster mitigation education in the curriculum, the development of disaster mitigation education media is still minimal, less varied so that it needs to develop an innovation in disaster mitigation education in accordance with the characteristics of elementary school students (SD). This research aims to: (1) develop pop up book media as an education for disaster mitigation for elementary students. (2) knowing the feasibility of the pop up book media as disaster mitigation education for elementary students from the material aspects and aspects of the media, and student responses. This research is a development study using 4D model (define, design, develop, disseminate) which is modified to 3D (define, design, develop). The research subjects consisted of one material expert (disaster expert), one media expert, a limited trial of pop up book media on elementary students. Data collection instruments include validation sheets for material and media experts, questionnaires for elementary students. Furthermore, the data obtained is processed and analyzed using descriptive statistics as material for product revisions to make it suitable for use. The results of the research showed that (1) the media pop up book was developed through the stages: define, design, develop (2) the results of the material expert assessment of the pop up book obtained an average of 4.67 with the category of Very Good, the assessment of the media expert obtained a mean of 4, 80 with the category of Very Good, while the results of the trial are limited to elementary students getting an average of 4.70 with the category of Very Good. Based on the results of the expert assessment of the material and the media shows that the pop up book developed is suitable for use as a medium for disaster education for elementary school students and can be widely disseminated. The Pop Up Book Media developed can be the first step to building a better foundation for disaster awareness in efforts to reduce disaster risk through education
