ANALISIS PEMAHAMAN SDM UAD DALAM UPAYA MITIGASI BENCANA NON STRUKTURAL BERBASIS KAMPUS

Abstract

ABSTRAK: Potensi ancaman dan kerentanan bencana di Indonesia tergolong tinggi sementara kemampuan mitigasi bencana masih rendah. Belum semua Perguruan Tinggi di Indonesia termasuk Universitas Ahmad Dahlan memasukkan pendidikan mitigasi bencana ke dalam kurikulum, pengembangan media publikasi sadar bencana juga masih perlu ditingkatkan. Untuk itu perlu dilakukan analisis kebutuhan pengembangan model mitigasi bencana yang efektif sesuai dengan kondisi lokal sehingga mampu mewujudkan kampus siaga bencana. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat pemahaman SDM UAD tentang mitigasi bencana bencana berbasis kampus. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket yang diberikan secara random kepada 258 subjek sampel dari berbagai lingkup SDM UAD. Data kuantitatif yang diperoleh dari hasil angket dianalisis secara kualitatif untuk memberikan pemaknaan secara naratif baik pada isi maupun proses. Hasil angket menunjukkan bahwa 52% responden berada pada kategori tidak paham terkait mitigasi bencana non struktural (memahami potensi ancaman bencana, memahami tanda/sign jalur evakuasi, keikutsertaan dalam pelatihan dan sosialisasi kebencanaan, simulasi bencana, memahami safety briefing, kurikulum kebencanaan terintegrasi dalam perkuliahan, dst) sehingga dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa diperlukan pengembangan model mitigasi bencana yang efektif di kampus UAD dalam mewujudkan kampus siaga bencana.

ABSTRACT: The potential for disaster threats and vulnerability in Indonesia is relatively high while the capability of disaster mitigation is still low. Not all universities in Indonesia including Ahmad Dahlan University include disaster mitigation education in the curriculum, the development of disaster-aware publication media also needs to be improved. For this reason it is necessary to analyze the need for developing an effective disaster mitigation model in accordance with local conditions so that it can realize a disaster preparedness campus. This study aims to analyze the level of understanding of UAD's human resources about campus based disaster mitigation. This type of research is quantitative descriptive. Data collection techniques used a questionnaire that was randomly given to 258 sample subjects from various scopes of UAD HR. Quantitative data obtained from the results of the questionnaire were analyzed qualitatively to provide a narrative meaning both in content and process. The results of the questionnaire showed that 52% of respondents were in the category of not understanding related to non-structural disaster mitigation (understanding the potential of disaster threats, understanding the signs / signs of the evacuation route, participating in disaster training and socialization, disaster simulation, understanding safety briefings, integrated disaster curriculum in lectures, etc. so that it can be concluded that it is necessary to develop an effective disaster mitigation model at the UAD campus in realizing a disaster preparedness campus.
