STUDI GEOKIMIA BATUAN BEKU ANDESIT BERDASARKAN XRD DESA KARANG JAYA, MUSI RAWAS SUMATERA SELATAN

Abstract

ABSTRAK: Alterasi suatu batuan ditunjukkan dengan kehadiran mineral-mineral ubahan atau mineral mineral alterasi. Mineral ubahan pada setiap jenis alterasi memiliki karakteristik yang berbeda-beda yang dapat memberikan informasi mengenai temperatur, pH serta genesa pembentukan setiap mineral. Analisis XRD merupakan metode yang dapat memberikan informasi mengenai jenis mineral yang terdapat dalam suatu material. Mekanisme kerja analisis XRD ini yakni material yang akan dianalisis XRD digerus sampai halus seperti bubuk kemudian dipreparasi lebih lanjut menjadi lebih padat dalam suatu holder kemudian holder tersebut diletakkan pada alat XRD dan diradiasi dengan Sinar X. Metode yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode deskriptif-observatif . Maksud dan tujuan dari penelitian adalah menjelaskan karakteristik fisik dan optis mineral-mineral alterasi, Menentukan zonasi persebaran mineral alterasi berdasarkan himpunan mineral-mineral alterasi. Menjelaskan tahapan/stadia pembentukan mineral-mineral alterasi. Menentukan faktor pengontrol alterasi dan mineralisasi pada daerah penelitianPenelitian mengenai alterasi dan mineralisasi batuan di daerah ini belum pernah diteliti sehingga perlu adanya penelitian mengenai hal ini untuk mengetahui potensi sumberdaya mineral, jenis alterasi dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya. Berdasarkan data analisis didapat hasil batuan andesit memperlihatkan adanya indikasi alterasi propilitk.

Abstract: Alteration of a rock is indicated by the presence of altered minerals or alteration minerals. The modified minerals in each type of alteration have dif erent characteristics which can provide information about temperature, pH and the genesis of formation of each mineral. XRD analysis is a method that can provide information about the types of minerals contained in a material. The working mechanism of this XRD analysis is that the material to be analyzed is crushed until it is smooth like a powder and then prepared further to become denser in a holder then the holder is placed on an XRD device and irradiated with X rays. The method used in this study is the descriptive-observative method. . The aims and objectives of the research are to explain the physical and optical characteristics of the alteration minerals, to determine the zoning of the alteration mineral distribution based on the association of the alteration minerals. Describe the stages / stages of formation of alteration minerals. Determining the controlling factors for alteration and mineralization in the study area Research on alteration and mineralization of rocks in this area has never been studied, so there is a need for research on this subject to determine the potential of mineral resources, types of alteration and the factors that influence them. Based on the analysis data, the results of andesite rock show indications of propilitic alteration.
