SISTEM PENGELOLAAN LABORATORIUM BERBASIS WEBSITE UNTUK MENDUKUNG PERKULIAHAN
Abstract
ABSTRAK: Laboratorium sebagai tempat praktikum mahasiswa merupakan komponen penting dalam meningkatkan kompetensi yang dimiliki mahasiswa. Pengelolaan pendidikan terutama kaitannya dengan laboratorium identik dengan persoalan-persoalan yang sering kali cukup pelik. Hambatan-hambatan itulah yang harus disiasati perguruan tinggi dalam pengelolaan pendidikan terkait dengan sumber daya yang terbatas namun mahasiswa tetap mendapatkan fasilitas yang memadai bahkan lebih baik dalam proses pembelajaran. Salah satu solusi yang dapat diupayakan adalah memanfaatkan internet sebagai cara mengelola laboratorium dengan aksesibilitas tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sistem pengelolaan laboratorium berbasis website di prodi PGSD. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development) dengan desain model 4D terdiri dari tahap define, design, development, dan dissemination yang dikembangkan oleh Thiagarajan. Pengumpulan data utama dalam penelitian ini menggunakan kuisioner dan wawancara. Penelitian ini telah berhasil mengembangkan sistem pengelolaan laboratorium PGSD berbasis website yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan mahasiswa dan dosen. Pengelolaan yang dimaksud meliputi pengecekan jadwal ruang lab, katalog, peminjaman inventaris, dan peminjaman ruang laboratorium di luar praktikum/ perkuliahan. Cara mengembangkan sistem pengelolaan laboratorium berbasis website di prodi PGSD disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan pengguna yang berasal dari mahasiswa, dosen, dan laboran. Prosedur pengembangan mengikuti model pengembangan 4D yaitu define, design, develop, dan diseminate.

ABSTRACT: As the place for student practicum, the laboratory is an important component in improving the student competencies. Educational management, especially in relation to laboratories, is identical with issues that are often quite complicated. University must overcome this obstacle when managing the education that has limited resources. Therefore, in the learning process, students still get an adequate facilities or a better one. One solution that can be sought is to use the internet as a way to manage laboratory with high accessibility. This research aimed to (1) developing a website-based laboratory management system in PGSD (Primary School Teacher Education) study program, and (2) testing the feasibility of the website-based laboratory management system in PGSD study program based on alpha and beta testing. This research was a Research and Development with a 4D model design by Thiagarajan with the stages of define, design, development, and dissemination. The main data collection in this research was by questionnaires and interviews. This research has successfully developed a website-based PGSD laboratory management system that suits the needs of college-students and lecturers. The said management are checking the lab schedule, catalogs, lending inventory, and laboratory lending outside the practicum/lecture. The development of a website-based laboratory management system in PGSD study program tailored to the users need who come from college-students, lecturers, and laboratory assistants. The development procedure follows the 4D development model of define, design, develop, and disseminate.
