EDUKASI DAN PELATIHAN DARING (ONLINE) PEMBUATAN HAND SANITIZER BERBAHAN DASAR HERBAL DI MADRASAH ALIYAH PATRA MANDIRI SEBAGAI UPAYA PENCEGAHAN PENYEBARAN COVID-19

Abstract

ABSTRAK: Salah satu penyebab masih tingginya kasus positif COVID -19 di Indonesia ialah kurangnya kesadaran
masyarakat dalam menerapkan protokol kesehatan. Salah satu protokol kesehatan selain memakai masker dan menjaga
jarak ialah mencuci tangan dengan sabun atau penggunaan hand sanitizer pada saat beraktivitas. Kegiatan edukasi ini
bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman dan melibatkan peran aktif siswa kelas XII IPA Madrasah Aliyah Patra
Mandiri untuk memanfaatkan bahan alami dalam pembuatan hand sanitizer untuk mencegah penyebaran COVID-19.
Kegiatan edukasi ini dilakukan melalui tatap muka virtual menggunakan video conference zoom dengan jumlah peserta
yang terdaftar sebanyak 53 orang perwakilan siswa dan guru. Program ini berupa kegiatan penyuluhan serta tutorial
online pembuatan hand sanitizer dengan memanfaatkan bahan alami dan sederhana di lingkungan seperti sirih, jeruk
nipis dan lidah buaya. Selain berupa kegiatan edukasi online, tim juga membagikan hand sanitizer, masker kain,
cinderamata serta 10 doorprize menarik bagi peserta terbaik dalam beberapa kategori. Peserta yang mengikuti kegiatan
ini sangat antusias dan aktif berinteraksi. Peserta yang terlibat di sesi pertanyaan dan diskusi mencapai 22, 6 %.
Untuk menilai keberhasilan kegiatan ini, tim menyampaikan kuesioner online yang disajikan dalam 5 rentang skor
penilaian (1 -5). Untuk format acara, skor rata-rata yang diperoleh sebesar 4,83 dengan 85,7 % peserta menilai
kegiatan ini sangat menarik, 11,4 % menarik dan 2,9 % cukup menarik. Pada aspek lain berupa kesesuaian materi
dengan topik acara memperoleh skor 4,83 dengan 82,9 % responden menilai materinya sangat sesuai topik dan 17,1 %
menilai materinya sesuai topik. Skor tertinggi diperoleh dari penilaian responden terhadap manfaat kegiatan sebesar
4,97 dengan 97,1 % responden menilai kegiatan ini sangat bermanfaat dan 2,9 % menilai kegiatan ini bermanfaat.
Berdasarkan beberapa indikator tersebut , program edukasi ini telah berhasil memberikan konstribusi positif dalam
meningkatkan kesadaran dan partisipasi siswa untuk mencegah penyebaran COVID-19 di masyarakat.

ABSTRACT: One of the reasons for the high number of positive cases of COVID -19 in Indonesia is the lack of public
awareness in implementing health protocols. One of the health protocols apart from wearing a mask and keeping your
distance is washing your hands with soap or using a hand sanitizer during your activities. This educational activity
aims to provide understanding and involve the active role of students of class XII IPA at Madrasah Aliyah Patra
Mandiri to utilize natural ingredients in making hand sanitizers to prevent the spread of COVID-19. This educational
activity is carried out through virtual face-to-face using zoom (video conference platform) with a total of 53 registered
participants. This program is in the form of counseling activities and online tutorials for making hand sanitizers by
utilizing natural and simple ingredients in the environment such as betel, lime and aloe vera. Apart from online
educational activities, the team also distributed hand sanitizers, cloth masks, souvenirs and 10 attractive door prizes for
the best participants in several categories. Participants who took part in this activity were very enthusiastic and
moreover who actively interacted in the question and discussion sessions reached 22.6%. To assess the success of this
activity, the team submitted an online questionnaire which was presented in 5 assessment scores (1 -5). For the format
of the event, the average score obtained were 4.83 with 85.7% of participants rated this activity as very interesting,
11.4% interesting and 2.9% quite interesting. In another aspect, the suitability of the material with the topic of the
event got a score of 4.83 with 82.9% of respondents rated the material as being very appropriate to the topic and 17.1%
rated the material as being appropriate to the topic. The highest score was obtained from the respondent's assessment

this activity useful. Based on these indicators, this educational program has succeeded in making a positive
contribution in increasing student awareness and participation to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in society.
