Metodologi Penelitian Derajat Kepublikan Ruang Terbuka Publik Perkotaan
Abstract
Derajat kepublikan (degree of publicness) adalah satu pendekatan untuk menilai sejauh mana sebuah ruang terbuka bersifat publik. Pendekatan ini berkembang pesat selama dua puluh tahun terakhir, khususnya di Eropa dan Amerika Serikat. Artikel ini menjelaskan tentang dinamika dan perkembangan penelitian derajat kepublikan melalui kajian literatur. Terdapat delapan jurnal ilmiah dan satu buku yang dikaji secara kualitatif menggunakan metode analisis isi. Artikel ini menemukan bahwa kunci dari derajat kepublikan adalah penyesuaian indikator-indikator terhadap konteks tempat dan budaya sebuah ruang terbuka publik perkotaan. Di Indonesia, konteks budaya dalam proses pengembangan kota dan identifikasi kekhasan lokal menjadi dua hal penting dalam menerapkan pendekatan derajat kepublikan.
